Yesterday I saw an eye-catching billboard advertisement with a plot twist. Maybe I’m one of those over-complicaters you mentioned, but just like qualitative data generates more empathy than quantitative data, I believe a real story that isn’t reductionist provides all the stakeholders more value and lead to better outcomes. What actions did they use to get to that state? What is new that wasn’t there before? What is the transformation? What are the properties that being clear? How are they doing it now? Why is that failing? It is just an assumption, or truism, that doesn’t offer any problem direction or solution vision.
